The New Cooperative Study Model at the International University of Cooperative Education

With the integration of practical training and theoretical study phases within each week - the split week model - the International University of Cooperative Education (IBA) offers a new approach to study welcomed by students and companies alike.

The concept of cooperative education is based on the close collaboration between the IBA and the partner companies. The cooperative programme combines theoretical study with practical experience in the company.

The IBA offers degree programmes in Business Informatics, Business Administration as well as Industrial Engineering* in a number of specialisations.

Course structure

The International University of Cooperative Education (IBA), a member of F+U Group gGmbH, is based in Darmstadt. The IBA is a Hessian University of Cooperative Education according to Hessian law regarding the state recognition of Universities of Cooperative Education. The individual study centres are dependent branches, subject to supervision by the Hesse Ministry of Education, Research and the Arts. The IBA is state recognised for an unlimited period. The awards for the Business Administration (Bachelor of Arts, B.A.) and Business Informatics (Bachelor of Science, B.Sc.) degree programmes are accredited by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA), Hanover.
