Supplementary qualification Microsoft MCITP or Linux CLA Certificate
Utilisation, technical systems operation as well as the introduction and further development of information technological solutions are critical tasks in every medium-sized and large company, across all sectors. Modern companies place increasing emphasis on various software systems and industry standards. Graduates able to combine both commercial and technical methods and thinking are thus particularly well qualified to meet company needs if, as certified IT specialists, they can also demonstrate their knowledge of market-relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft or Linux).
Our Business Informatics programme is designed to give graduates the opportunity to achieve this certification within the scope of their company practice and, as such, to gain these essential elements from their interdisciplinary education.

One of the key success factors for any company is that its employees are well trained and, ideally, certified. Expert knowledge, social competence and practical experience define the level of qualification and commitment within the business. Therefore, the dual “Business Informatics” programme based in the University of Cooperative Education and in the placement company builds the ideal foundation: The model’s combination of study and practice (each week 20 hours at the University of Cooperative Education plus 20 hours in the company) guarantees continuous integration in the placement company and the reinforcement of practical tasks. Students are quickly integrated into the day-to-day running of the business.
