Green Energy
|
Industrial Engineering* (accreditation in preparation) It is necessary to chart a new course for a sustainable and safe energy supply. Therefore, greater use of renewable energy is inevitable. This must go hand in hand with energy supply systems which are driven by optimum energy management, from generation through to consumption. Modern information and communication technology can make a positive contribution to optimising energy efficiency and the expansion of renewable energy, for the power supply of the future will integrate intelligent information networks, known as smart grids. These will be instrumental in the ability to shape the future-orientated use of renewable energies, despite the unpredictability of their generation capacity. Holistic energy management doesn’t end with the transfer to the private household or industrial customer. On the contrary, it needs to strive for the continuous integration of the local energy consumer, andof future mobility. Green energy therefore embraces technology, from the intelligent power supply to the smart home, as well as the issue of electromobility.
