The Role of the Partner Company in the Cooperative Study Model:
- Selection of candidates (in individual cases also recruitment of candidates via the International University of Cooperative Education (IBA))
- Payment of tuition fees and trainee remuneration (depending on arrangement)
- Sole responsibility for carrying out practical training as agreed with the supervisor at the IBA
- If desired, participation in the examinations board
The International University of Cooperative Education welcomes the participation of company representatives in its councils and committees, in order to generate new impulses for course content and new subjects.
The company enters into these commitments upon creation of a practical placement position. The responsibilities are regulated explicitly in the training contract. The contract sets out, inter alia, liability for tuition fee payment and the level of remuneration.
There are various contract models:
- A: The company covers the tuition fees and pays training remuneration
- B: The company covers the tuition fees but pays either no or minimal training remuneration
- C: The student is responsible for the tuition fees and receives no remuneration
